Coal Creek on the red line sees occasionally a box car or two delivered to the team track. The track stub at Trinity Meadows on the red line serves for car storage, usually loaded cars from Brown Lumber in Oak Forest. (This arrangement “declares” a logical break in the red line.)

In 2001 the Coal Creek scenery changed from desert-like to a rocky look.
In 2004 the module was completely rebuilt to add the blue line and to support the new transition module, Indian Mountain.
